Meet Jer-Bear and Owen Owl

Our next game is a two-player platformer about cousins, a shattered crystal, and five communities that need help rather than rescuing. Here are the heroes.

We've been quiet about our second game for a reason: we wanted the two leads to feel right before we introduced them. They feel right now.

Jer-Bear

A brown bear, the older cousin, and the heart of the pair. Brave, protective, and relentlessly optimistic. In play he is the grounded one: strength, protection, and moving things that refuse to move.

Owen Owl

A great horned owl, the younger cousin, and the reason the two of them keep ending up in trouble. Clever and endlessly curious. In play he sees things first: Owl Sight reveals footprints, hidden paths, and clues that Jer-Bear simply cannot see.

Why two players

We wanted a game where the best moments sound like "there are footprints behind the waterfall." Owen's sight and Jer-Bear's strength are useless without each other, so the game nudges you to talk. That's the whole idea.

Playing alone still works. The game hands you the other cousin when you need them.

What's at stake

The Heartwater Crystal has shattered and the Enchanted Lagoon is out of balance. Five communities have leaders clouded by unstable magic. Beating a boss doesn't destroy an enemy. It gets someone their friend back.

More soon. The frogs are almost ready to show you their grotto.

Adventures in the Enchanted Lagoon

A side-scrolling cooperative platform adventure about two cousins who leave their forest home to help a magical lagoon in crisis. Built for kids, built for couches, built so nobody plays alone.
